How it works
- The Plasma Pen delivers soft surgery plasma fibroblasting by converting electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen that transmits the energized gas in a non-contact way to the skin’s surface. This causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal layer (top layer) whilst simultaneously heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction from above. This treatment is also know as fibroblasting. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body that produce collagen. Collagen continues to be produced for 3 months after treatment so some immediate results are seen but lines and tightening of the skin continue to improve for 3 months after treatment.

What is a Non-surgical Blepharoplasty?
is performed without cutting, without removing excess skin or fat and without modifying the orbicular muscle of the eyelids. This helps avoid all risks inherent to the traditional surgical interventions.
Does insurance cover the cost of blepharoplasty?
The cost of eyelid surgery depends on the type and complexity of the procedure performed. Insurance carriers will only cover the cost of upper eyelid surgery if the patient has obstruction of their visual field.
Milia Removal
Milia are a collection of small white spots commonly known as milk spots. Though common among young babies, they can occur in adults and become permanent. They are often mistaken for whiteheads, which can cause ill-advised attempts to scratch or squeeze them. In fact milia are tiny cysts that are located immediately below the epidermis, the very outer layer of skin, making their distinctive colouring so visible. While they aren’t a medical risk, many people with milia would prefer to remove them, which is possible with clinic treatment.
There are many different treatments available for milia removal. At Precision Aesthetics Clinic, we utilise a plasma pen as the primary method of treatment for milia. Your practitioner will advise if this is the correct treatment option for you at your initial consultation.
