Lip Flip
When we’re talking about lip flips, we are referring to botulinum toxin injections – not to be confused with dermal filler in the lips. It’s a totally different procedure and provides a different result for clients.
It basically involves a few small injections of toxin into the muscle, just above the lip border. What happens is, the toxin relaxes the muscle around the mouth.
Neck Lift
The botulinum toxin injections in the neck are focused in the platysma muscles, which serve to pull the jaw muscles downward.
Injections to the neck and jawline result in a noticeable tightening, smoothing, and lifting effect of the skin.
“When the platysma muscle contracts, there is a downward pull on the tissues of the lower face, including the jowls,“Relaxing the platysma will reduce this downward pull.”
Like any botulinum toxin treatment, these effects are not permanent. In order to sustain the appearance of a lifted and tighter jaw and neckline.
Our clients are recommended to undergo several treatments a year, depending on their individual needs.
Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis disorder)
Hyperhidrosis disorder is a condition that results in excessive sweating. This sweating can occur in unusual situations, such as in cooler weather, or without any trigger at all. It can also be caused by other medical conditions, such as menopause or hyperthyroidism.
Hyperhidrosis can be uncomfortable. However, several treatment options can provide some relief.
Botulinum toxin injections may be used to treat severe hyperhidrosis. They block the nerves that stimulate your sweat glands. You usually need several injections before this treatment becomes effective.
Botulinum Toxin for Chronic Migraines
Chronic migraine is a severely disabling neurological condition characterised by episodes of pulsating unilateral or bilateral headache.
Botulinum toxin treatments can help reduce symptoms of migraine headaches, including nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to lights, sounds, and smells. After you receive Botulinum injections, it may take as long as 10 to 14 days for you to experience relief.
Grinding Teeth
Solutions
Bruxium more commonly known as teeth grinding, can result in jaw pain and persistent headaches. It can also diminish tooth enamel and cause sensitivity and even chipped teeth. Treatments for teeth grinding focus mainly on preventing dental damage, but new studies have shown that using botulinum toxin for bruxism could effectively halt grinding in the first place.
By injecting botulinum toxin directly into the masseter muscle (the large muscle that moves the jaw), the muscle is weakened enough to stop involuntary grinding of the teeth and clenching of the jaw. This significantly relaxes the muscle and reduces the wear and tear on the teeth due to grinding.
This procedure also slims the lower face, as the muscles begin to relax.
